Turns out... I'm Team Beaver. 🦫❤️ (Yes...if only I had those teeth. 😂) As a small business owner, this one hits close to home. Four years ago, I started building my real estate business from scratch. Every client, every yard sign, every referral, every late night—it was earned one relationship at a time. Small businesses don't have endless marketing budgets or teams of attorneys. We have grit, hard work, and communities that choose to support us. I genuinely celebrate businesses that have grown into household names. Every big company was once the little guy with a dream. Success should be celebrated. But this story has also made me think about something I wrestle with in my own industry. Real estate is incredibly competitive. It's easy to fall into the mindset that someone else's success somehow takes away from your own—that if another agent is winning, you must be losing. If I'm honest, I've had to fight those feelings of jealousy, comparison, and scarcity just like anyone else. When I'm at my best, though, I celebrate other people's wins. I share what I've learned. I encourage others. I choose gratitude over comparison and abundance over scarcity. Because I truly believe there's enough business, enough opportunity, and enough success for all of us. I don't know all the legal details of this case, and the courts will sort that out. But I hope we never become people who believe the only way to succeed is by stomping on someone else who's trying to build their dream. Whether it's your favorite coffee shop, family-owned hardware store, neighborhood mini mart... or a Realtor trying to build a business one client at a time... Let's root for each other. Did home prices just hit a turning point? Even though all the headlines out there make it sound like prices are crashing, here’s what the data really says. Yes, price growth cooled from around 7% in mid-2024 to closer to 3% today. But that’s not a crash. It’s just a slowdown. And if you look at the right side of this graph, it seems like price growth may have hit its low point and started to turn. Now, two months of data doesn’t necessarily make a trend. But a few things back this up. Compared to earlier this year, fewer markets are seeing price declines right now. And, forecasts call for price growth to pick up a bit before end of year.
